Mobile Web Application Development Secrets Revealed by Experts

Verifying several graphs and reading various reports, we are not far from concluding that Android gets the biggest piece of cake in the mobile web application development market. With free apps and more than 200,000 devices sold every day, Android mobile web applications development is developer's beloved choice. Bottom line -by all accounts, Google is gaining huge market share.

Secrets behind development

There has been a lot on internet telling you about how to create a smart phone app and latest essentials to take care of. At times, people tend to overdo in enthusiasm of creating a new app or in fear of how well it will work in the market or may be in thrust of creating best apps.

Following the chain of articles written everyday praising Android, let's find out what not to do when starting to create an app:

Hiring an Expert: Obviously you need developers to provide custom mobile web application development for you! Hire an expert web application development services provider. Look for the experiences the person possesses, his skills (most often found from the code quality he delivers in his previous work), and his availability.

Developing without research: Wise words-All ideas are not great and great ideas come with sufficient reasoning. Before starting, check from all the horizons and ask yourself whether the app is, really, going to compelling. The best practice is to capture reviews or step into user's shoe and see whether people would really use the app.

Doing too much: Ever heard the saying "Jack of all and king of none"? I would apply it here. In urge of doing a lot, we end up loading an app with several functionalities while none offers anything different or in depth. Don't forget that Android market is flooded with apps and their developers; so, what you are doing has already occurred to someone else, as well. The only way to survive in the competent market is to develop inches deep. Find a niche. Narrow your focus. Do as few things as possible and do them really well.

Building for single platform but forgot to consider devices: You are building for Android platform, fine. But is it enough to consider? There are many devices running on Android platform having different screen resolution and sizes, different device performance, hardware support, accelerations etc. Performance of the app is of utmost importance for users to get hooked to it. Make sure your program works (well) on all of them. This problem exists even within the relatively narrower iOS platform as anyone who has used an iPhone app on an iPad can tell you. What you want is a consistent user experience across platforms. This may require a bit more front-end coding, but will likely result in more market penetration.

The Amazon Scope

Programs for Android launch in the range of hundreds per day and almost equal is its demand. Having said that let me introduce you to the much anticipated news. Amazon launched its AppStore for Android opened for business Tuesday offering a free/paid app every day, one-click purchasing, and the ability to test drive apps before you buy making it a formidable challenger to Google's own Web-based Android Market.

Activities in AppStore: Amazon is looking forward to feature a free/paid app everyday. It also offers discounts and biddings for apps on its actual price. Adding to it, Amazon provides a test drive. The feature lets you try the app within your browser before you decide to buy. It means that users can buy an app, use it for 15 minutes, and if they don't enjoy it they can return it within 15 minutes. This feature appears to be reserved for some of the more popular titles and may not be available for all apps.

The AppStore has nearly 30 separate categories including Books and Comics, Education, Entertainment, Magazines, Music, and Productivity as well as a number of separate game categories. However, the store is missing some major titles. For e.g.: They do not offer official version of Facebook for Android. Let's wait for more titles likely to appear in the following weeks. Who knows, your app could be one of them.
